Who is Dr. Percy Julian?

Do you know anyone who has glaucoma or arthritis?

Despite constantly being challenged because of his race and not being allowed to attend High School, Dr. Julian managed to obtain a PhD. He graduated first in his class, with Phi Beta Kappa honors, and through his work in academia and corporate institutions the chemical synthesis of drugs to treat glaucoma and arthritis were created. His techniques also led the the development of chemical birth control and other medicines. He flooded the chemistry field with his insight and determination, just as he wanted to.
